About Grandma Without Grandma deals with the themes of consent, intimacy and their violation. The performance is based on family stories and inherited memories. It explores our invisible ways of how we've learned to show—or hide—what we feel. They dwell in the gaps between generations, where voices echo, change and rearrange.
The project is inspired by the work of bell hooks and sensitively thinks about how ideas of masculinity are shaped and transmitted and how they affect the lives of people around. It's not about blaming someone, it's about opening space for a new idea: that tenderness, care and emotional openness can stand out and be shared.
We invite the audience into a gentle and attentive atmosphere. The performance works as a so-called relaxed performance (it is inclusive for neurodivergent people and parents with children) and welcomes different ways of audience watching, listening and staying together.

About Granny Without Granny deals with consent, intimacy, and its violation. The performance moves through family stories and inherited memories, tracing the quiet ways we learn to show – or hide – what we feel. It lingers in the spaces between generations, where voices echo, shift, and are retold.
Inspired by the writings of bell hooks, the project gently reflects on how ideas of masculinity are shaped and carried, and how they touch the lives of those around them. Without blame, the work opens a space for reimagining: a space where tenderness, care, and emotional openness can emerge and be shared.
