About event
Our exhibition program continues with an exhibition of another exceptional author, artist Eva Moflárová.
SOLO exhibition Eva Moflárová entitled The letter O represents a closed cycle of paintings, drawings and objects. O, it is about round form, about a circle, an egg, an eye, a sky, washing round shapes, about images of light, but also about protecting life. The idea of an exhibition is a concept of astonishment over life. “Oh!” is a direct convening. It is
transcendental consideration of life, its forms, but also about its chemical, biological and physical manifestations. As if Eva wrapped them with cotton wool or bandages to protect them, but also to point out the fragility and vitality of the cells.
Organic microstructures, a kind of plant cross -section, describes by automatic writing by repetition of the letter O, but at the same time forming shapes that are visible by a microscope. So not those we perceive through the eyes, but using the device. As a researcher, she declares the hidden life of cells. Those moments when life begins, that is, before life is clear. Her works will also remind us of what we learned in biology: how life is created.
The cell is separated, two, then four. Zygota turns into a morul, a spherical cell cluster, then into a blastula. A process similar to the mulberry fetus. Similarly to Eva's paintings and drawings. The egg is a moflar reference to Eva for pregnancy, but also to the female body, virgin membrane, ovulation, lat. Ovarium (ovaries), fertilized egg, fetus, materializing life. They are not radical geometry, but geometrically reduced fragments
images of what is seen through the lens. Here also uses rational structures such as cutting, detail, perspective, architecturally organized oval. In her creation, it is also a return to coloring by using three basic colors, lightened to the limit of recognition. It is delicate colorism, without contrasts, as if you were looking at her paintings through a kind of layer, membrane, veil. It depicts fragile invisible relationships that only one person sees in the lens. It's an intimate look. There are no muscles and strong gestures in this o-geometric painting, but the opposite. Loneliness and silence, whispering: Do not touch me. The paintings are already maps of the movement of living beings, they are about adult relationships with children, for example on a walk in nature. On the portrait drawing of the lying head, the black brush strokes show the mother's face. In the story of the exhibition it is a mother after birth, the mother who adapted to the child is after all, troubled, but also satisfied, in a state of meditation and observation of living beings - children. Eggs were filled.
