O Sonho é Quântico - Patrícia Kauark Leite [Ciclo Mundo Quântico][Conferências e Debates]

It is not possible to be and not to be at the same time: this is what the logical principle of “non -contradiction” tells us by stating that two contradictory statements cannot be true simultaneously. However, quantum mechanics challenges the traditional notions of rationality and logic - and the same happens with dreams. Schrödinger's famous paradox, in which a cat can, in a state of quantum overlap, be alive and not alive, violates the common meaning of logic. Proposing a broader and more complex understanding of human rationality, we enter the quantum world with philosopher Patrícia Kauark Leite, and also in the universe of the unconscious, through dreams, through the antithetic sense of the primitive words of Sigmund Freud.

Patrícia Kauark Leite is a professor of philosophy at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and a researcher at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development - Brazil. Received the Louis Liard (2012) Award from Académie des Science Morales et Multiiques de França by the book Théorie Quantique et Philosophie Transcendantale: Dialogues Possibles.
