About event

Hidden, exceptional, romantic, that is what the garden of the Šternber Palace is called. It reveals a view of the most beautiful architectural form of the palace, allows a glimpse into the Deer's Moat and presents an unusual opportunity for contemplation under the majestic trees.

However, the tranquility of the garden is only apparent. Doesn't the athletic Odysseus attack the woman playing with the dolphin? Is there any danger to the girl who cautiously moves to the pond? Probably not. The stork is still intently watching the fish in the water and will not be disturbed. Visitors will have the opportunity to uncover the possible interactions of characters encoded in bronze and stone in the magical garden. An exclusive selection of Czech sculpture of the 20th century offers this possibility. You will walk past the sculptures of Jan Štursa, Jan Lauda and Hana Wichterlová.

Lecture by Jitka Handlová.
