O umění zblízka: Akvizice středověkého umění ve sbírkách NGP

Commented tour in the exhibition Medieval Art in Bohemia and Central Europe 1200-1500 in St. Agnes Monastery with art historian David Beitl on the topic of NGP purchases and its predecessor, the Society of Patriotic Friends of Art. We will imagine such masterpieces as the Ara Oceli Madonna, the Roudnická Madonna or the Svatovítská Madonna.

The tour as part of the About art close up series takes place on the occasion of the 230th anniversary of the founding of the NGP. It will focus on specific parts of the collections and will be given closer attention. Each tour offers a new perspective on a certain topic and places it in a wider context that helps to better understand the whole.
