February 10, 2025 – LAV - Lisbon Live, Lisbon
With a new album under their belt, the legendary German progressive death metal band will perform at LAV - Lisboa ao Vivo in February 2025.
After a memorable performance at Hard Club, in Porto in 2019, iconic progressive death metal band OBSCURA will finally return to Portugal next year! The long-awaited national solo return of Steffen Kummerer and company takes place at LAV – Lisboa Ao Vivo, on February 10, 2025, on a date included in his Silver Linings Tour 2025. With a solid career full of critically acclaimed and well-received albums with fervor by fans, the applauded quartet promises a truly unforgettable experience for everyone who appreciates brutal music played with virtuosity and with the concept of progression always in mind.
Still with the elaborate «A Valediction», by 2021, very present in the public's memory, but with its successor about to be released through Nuclear Blast, this show promises to be special, with OBSCURA suggesting the premiere of new material that fans won't want to miss. After months of writing and refining, the band is ready to deliver new sounds, offering a glimpse into the next chapter of their ever-evolving musical journey. To make things even more interesting, the night will also feature a special appearance by SKELETAL REMAINS, who mix elements of death and thrash metal and GOROD, who bring their fusion of technical death metal and engaging melodies.
< br/ >Innovative band from the Bavarian city of Landshut, Germany, OBSCURA employs an intoxicating fusion of technical death metal and progressive thrash, which received praise with the release of their debut «Retribution» in 2006. By then, almost two decades later, the statistics are impressive: twenty years on active duty; six acclaimed albums; more than 600 shows on four continents. Additionally, worldwide fan engagement – the music videos for «The Anticosmic Overload», «Akróasis» and «Diluvium» have over 4.5 million views – has only become stronger as they continue to deliver tutorials and interacting with a devoted audience.
Tickets for the concert cost €27, on sale from September 27th at primeartists.eu and at the usual locations.
