After eight years of activity, Ochepovsky Project will say goodbye to the fans in Karlín Barracks on October 31.
Ochepovsky Project has concentrated excellent players of the Czech jazz and alternative scene. His work, which cannot be categorized by genre, mixed elements of jazz, neo-soul, hip hop and pop. In addition to the domestic stages, the formation recorded numerous successes abroad with concerts in Germany, Poland and Slovakia. The band released their latest single and music video entitled Satellite in January of this year.
Ochepovsky Project was founded in 2016 and quite quickly caught the attention of its genre eclecticism and exceptional harmony of players. The line-up gradually settled on the formation - cellist Šimon Marek, trumpeter Miroslav Hloucal, saxophonist and clarinetist Petr Kalfus, keyboardist Jan Aleš, bassist Ondřej Hauser and drummer Michal "Kolouch" Daněk. The album I'm the Wind was released in 2016, followed three years later with the seven-song live EP Take Care of Me. From 2021, the Turkish singer ILÆY, who is also the author of the lyrics of the song Satellite, has been performing with the band.
The paths of the individual members do not diverge, they still work together, for example as part of Lenka Dusilová's backing band. Igor Ochepovsky is currently the bandleader of Lenka Dusilová's backing band, a member of 7krát3, he has collaborated with David Koller, Anna Julia Slováčková, Vesna, Ewa Farna, Klára Vytisková and many others.
