Tea Tasting - "Various Incarnations of the Iron Goddess of Mercy" - 鐵觀音的发度化身
On Friday, June 12th at 6:30 p.m., we will gather to taste one of the most famous semi-green teas in the world.
This tasting is also suitable for tea novices - as the character and preparation of this tea are very accessible and can partially open the door to the immense world of real tea
We will focus on Tie Guan Yin tea - 鐵觀音, whose name can be translated as "Iron Goddess of Mercy".
It is a semi-green tea, or also oolong/Wu Long, which is traditionally produced in the An Xi district in the Chinese province of Fujian.
We will taste its various forms - incarnations.
From modern - slightly oxidized and gently roasted flowery, fresh teas with a rather greener character to orthodox classic models with strongly roasted caramel tones.
We will discover the charm of wild cultivars, but also older tea bushes, from which tickets are also collected for the production of this unique tea.
