🔺 Immanuel Kant is convinced that ethics leads inevitably to religion. But what does he mean by religion? Is it possible to believe in an immortal soul and to believe in God on the basis of the moral law? Is the absolute validity of the moral imperative unacknowledged by theology? Why can't Kant imagine an absurd world and insist that the world must be meaningful? And is Kant's theory of moral evil a philosophical variant of the doctrine of original sin?
