From river to sea: imagine the future in which everyone is free
3. June 2025 at 19:00 - Laichter's House (Chopinova 1543/4, Prague)
The rare guests will be the Bassam Aramin and Rami Elhanan, members of the Israeli -Palestinian organization The Parents Circle - Families Forum seeking to end violence and political agreement acceptable for both parties. The organization brings together families that lost their closest as a result of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Bassam Aramin is Palestinian and Rami Elhanan Israel. They live not far from each other, but in separate worlds. Together, they were seduced by a deep lawsuit caused by the loss of daughters. Smadar lost his life in a suicide attack by Hamas in Jerusalem in 1997, and Abir shot an Israeli soldier in 2007 as she was based on school. Instead, they decided to strive for fair peace, human rights for all and the end of the Israeli occupation. In the name of more than eight hundred Palestinian and Israeli families, they ask for the end of the war, the return of all houses, ending occupation and adoption of political solutions that guarantee the freedom and security of both nations.
The debate will be moderated by Jana Hradilková and Natasha Dudinská at the initiative. The audience questions will be welcome.
The debate will take place in English, if necessary there will be a translation into Czech. Admission voluntary, your contribution will be dedicated to the support of The Parents Circle - Families Forum.
