About event
🐦 Have you ever seen a flock of starlings in the sky, how does it rip as a giant living cloud?
🪿 or geese flying in perfect formation letters "V"?
🪶 How come birds move in a flock so smoothly without throwing themselves?
💻 And did you ever think that a similar phenomenon exists not only in the sky, but also in the online world?
👥 Here, too, Internet users, perhaps unknowingly, create flocks in which coordination and harmony occur.
👨 Etologist Ondřej Fišer and the philosopher of language Tomáš Koblížek will explain on this dual -lecture how bird flock research inspires the study of Internet communities.
🧐 The first part will focus on the cooperation of birds, their signals and the advantages of life in the group. The second part shows how the Internet supports organized flocks and how they form. You will learn how not only problematic phenomena, such as cyberbullying, but also flocks help and loving, which act as indispensable counterweight. Tickets are available at GoOut. The subsequent discussion will take place in the Hall of Studio at the Scout Institute at Staromák (Prague).
