A sermon about personal courage and independence.

The play deals with the theme of individual independence in a traditionally functioning institution. This is represented here by a Catholic seminary: a young listener turns to a popular and well-liked priest for advice and help. However, he begins to attack not only the church order, but above all the ossification of the earthly representatives of the church. He is to be expelled from the seminary for his unorthodox approaches.

The play is an elaborate character study, but it also abounds in comic situations that do not diminish its appeal in any way, on the contrary, they emphasize the main theme and idea, and that is the personal courage of each person.
