In the smallest regional capital (Trenčín), two photographers met. One has lived there all his life, while the other moved there 2.5 years ago from Bratislava. Together, they launched a joint studio (ATELIER ATRIUM) and realized that besides photography, they also needed to kick-start the local photography community. That's how they came up with "Fotokáva" (Photo Coffee) – a meeting held every first Monday of the month at KKC Hviezda. They also run workshops and avoid shooting what they don't enjoy. They are building social capital because they're no longer the youngest and know that it will come in handy. 🎞️
A lecture with the possibility of discussion for those thinking about how to make a living from photography without starving.
▫️Radovan Stoklasa – recent recipient of the Grand Prix Slovak Press Photo award, photographs for Reuters. No longer shoots for TASR. Drives 6,000 km a month. And he's also a scout.
▫️Peter Marek – worked for a long time at the Slovak National Gallery (SNG), teaches at UTV STU, shoots a lot of personal and even more commercial photography. Hosts a program on a Catholic radio station.

V najmenšom krajskom meste (Trenčín) sa stretli dvaja fotografi. Jeden tam žije celý život, druhý sa tam prisťahoval pred 2,5 rokom z Bratislavy. Rozbehli spoločný ateliér (ATELIER ATRIUM) a zistili, že okrem fotenia musia naštartovať aj miestnu komunitu fotografov. Tak vymysleli Fotokávu (každý prvý pondelok v mesiaci v KKC Hviezda), robia workshopy a nefotia čo ich nebaví. Budujú si sociálny kapitál, lebo už nie sú najmladší a vedia, že sa to zíde. 🎞️
Prednáška s možnosťou diskusie pre tých, ktorí premýšľajú ako sa živiť fotografiou a neumrieť od hladu.
▫️Radovan Stoklasa - čerstvý držitel ceny Grand Prix Slovakpress Photo, fotí pre Reuters. Už nefotí pre TASR. Najazdí 6000km mesačne. A ešte je aj skautom.
▫️Peter Marek - dlho pracoval v SNG, učí na UTV STU, fotí veľa voľne a ešte viac komerčne. Moderuje v katolíckom rádiu.
