The casemates of the citadel form one of the largest European winter haunters for bats. Therefore, they are only accessible to visitors three months a year. The arched corridors with their thick walls were originally created for defense purposes. When visiting the King's casemates, you not only explore one of the oldest areas of the citadel, which is largely preserved in its original condition, but also a cinematic -interesting place, among other things the witcher was filmed by Edgar Wallace in 1964.
