About event
Oh Hiroshima comes to Mastmagasinet for their first gig in their hometown of Kristinehamn since the band started 15 years ago!
What started as a modest DIY post-rock recording project over 15 years ago has today developed into a highly regarded live entity with a solid presence in post-rock circles.
Oh Hiroshima originated in Kristinehamn and the current lineup consists of the brothers Jakob Hemström on guitar and vocals and Oskar Nilsson on drums. They are known for their deeply emotional soundscape that seamlessly weaves together powerful crescendos with tender melodies and atmospheric vocals, all backed by impressive songwriting. Over the years, their music has changed in sound and style, incorporating elements of shoegaze, indie rock, post-punk and more. This diversity has over time made it difficult to fully define the band based on one genre.
In early 2024, Oh Hiroshima announced that they had signed with Pelagic Records for the upcoming release of their fifth LP titled ' All Things Shining'.
