The winner of the 23rd Award 23. Mezipatra, a moving romance of fireworks, takes place in the hot summer of 1982 in Sicily and thaws the heart of even the most important audience. The strong story of true love that will bloom even in a harsh and deeply conservative environment is the debut of talented director Giuseppe Fiorella.
17 -year -old Gianni has gone through an involuntary coming out and is struggling with constant attacks, while Nino lives his life in a loving family in sweet ignorance of his sexuality. Coincidence combines their journeys and the boys become inseparable friends. Soon, however, their relationship will grow into clear love, and the only thing they desire is to experience your love story without fear.
