About event
Josef Macka, a bent furniture of Josef Mack
Josef Macek dedicated almost his entire life to a "good chair" for children 9–14 years. Thanks to the position of a designer in Ton, he was able to turn his visions and ideas into reality. Come with us to think about what a chair is doing with a chair and why we cannot even imagine the world without its existence. You will learn how wood bends and why it is important to think not only about the appearance but also about technology and functionality.
As part of the workshop, we will construct chairs, which we then finish artfully to create a distinctive design of the corresponding taste of each participant.
Because who has a chair, he lives! And you can settled for this time in Villa Tugendhat.
The workshop is realized in cooperation with the Institute of Furniture, Design and Housing Mendel University, under the expert guidance Ing. Petra Krupičková.
