About event
We will meet in the lower parking lot at the bus stop. We will follow the red marker first through the forest and then through the gardener's settlement of Mečkov until we reach the dam. On the left side of the wide paved road, we will pass swamps with lots of aquatic animals, and on the right we will be accompanied by the last part of the water reservoir. We will reach the road connecting Kuři and Veverská Bitýška, cross the bridge and get to the other side of the dam.
Here we will connect to the yellow marker and follow the left bank along the rocky, sometimes very narrow footpath. It is a wonderful, adventurous journey, with beautiful views. And yet the terrain leads us to take concentrated steps because the stones can be slippery, especially after the rain. But it's worth it! The last third of the left bank of the dam is a comfortable forest path that takes us to the bridge under the Veveří Castle. From there, it's about 1 km across the bridge following the red sign to
bus stop no. 303 and to the lower parking lot. This is where our walk ends.
