The joint exhibition of Olbram Pavlíček and Don Elektro outlines the liminal space between one's own bodily experience and the invisible an architecture of power that today is largely framed by digital technologies. Beneath the polished surface of their own interface, they shape and optimize patterns of human movement and behavior into quantifiable and recognizable structures. I Became a Room Again is a melancholic meditation on post-media fatigue, a nervous system overwhelmed by the demands of continuous connectivity, disciplining an already overburdened body after exhibiting constant performance.
Olbram Pavlíček (*1993) is a visual artist, graphic artist and musician who works in Prague. He completed his bachelor's degree at the Supermedia Studio at the UMPRUM in Prague and then his master's degree at the Painting Studio. In his work, he devotes himself to sculpture, drawing and graphics, and explores the tools by which dominant political and social systems shape our bodies and minds. He presented his works in many domestic galleries, for example in solo exhibitions such as *Hearthbrokenly@26'chiropractor* in the PAF Gallery in Olomouc (2023), *KORPSEPUNX: stress prosthetics* in the Gallery of Modern Art in Hradec Králové (2024), *rigged CRASHTEST* in Kostka at MeetFactory in Prague (2024) or also as part of a duo exhibition with Matyáš Maláč *Viewpoint Vomiters* in City Surfer Office in Prague (2022). Pavlíček also presented his work abroad, for example in institutions such as Funkhaus Berlin, HotDock Project Space in Bratislava, Werkschauhalle in Leipzig and Fotopub Project Space in Ljubljana. His works are part of the Havrlant Art Collection. He is the co-founder of Proto Gallery Systems, an internationally active artistic and curatorial collective.
Don Elektro (*1986) is a visual artist and graphic artist who lives and creates in the German city of Schwarzenberg. Since 2013, he has been researching contemporary digital tools, the space of social networks and the post-ironic language of internet culture, from which he then composes his VISUALFASTFOOD in the form of collages, objects and installations. He presented his works at several group exhibitions and projects, such as "beneath the beach, seamless paving stones" organized by the art platform Rhizome Parking Garage (2019 - 2020) as part of the 4th edition of the Wrong Biennale, the off-site exhibition Big Fungus in the Bavarian Forest (2024), ION - Dirty Laundry (2022) in Athens, Apophenia as part of the independent platform Ritual on the Malaysian island of Penang (2025) or the exhibition Escapism - Kaugummi im Motherboard at Kunstpunkt in Berlin (2024). In 2019, Don Elektro was one of the founding members of the KOTZ art gang in Leipzig, which connects the low popular culture of the Internet with high art in multimedia installations and online publications. They presented their work at several exhibitions, such as SCHNITZEL PAVILLON in the Number 1 Mainroad gallery in Berlin (2024).
The program of the Holešovická Schacht gallery is created with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the City Hall of the Capital City of Prague and the Prague 7 Municipal District.
