Olympijský mezičas

The documentary film by Czech-Japanese filmmaker Haruna Honcoop focuses on three world capitals – Paris, Tokyo and Beijing, which have repeatedly hosted or are to host the Olympic Games in recent years. In the film, we observe how the "Olympics" negatively affect these cities, which are known for their size, population density and tourism. By following urban changes, including interest in the origin and fate of the so-called "white elephants", the film shows how problematic the most prestigious sporting event of modern times is for these territorial areas from an ecological, humanistic and economic point of view. What are cities willing to sacrifice for their double-edged privilege?
