Who are we?
The vocal group Milánosz has been singing polyphonic Slavic folklore from various corners of Europe since 2010 using the so-called singing technique. white singing. This is a very loud technique similar to an ordinary long-distance call without tiring the vocal cords of the caller. Songs of Eastern Slavic cultures, especially Ukrainian, but also Slovak (e.g. lawn), Polish, Belarusian or Russian, were traditionally sung using this technique. Of the original founders, only Dana remains in the band, who now tries at her workshops all over Europe to bring people back to singing naturally and to open up their frightened vocal cords using some of the techniques that white singing uses. The group Milánosz is based in Prague and performs all over Europe.
Omnion is the solo project of composer, multi-instrumentalist and tabla player Tomáš Reindl. Omnion defines its distinctive style as a unique combination of live instruments with interactive electronics. His clearly recognizable signature combines inspiration from the ancient roots of Eastern and Western music, together with sophisticated approaches to live processing and looping. His overlaps reach into categories from electro-acoustic downtempo, through world-beat, to ecstatic dance music, which he spreads joy at home and abroad. For all of them, let's name e.g. Ozora festival 2023, Moonsoon Festival 2023 (Vietnam), Colors of Ostrava 2022, Electronica festival 2023 (London/UK), Tallinn Music Week 2022 (Estonia), etc. The Omnion project won the 1st prize in the Musica Nova 2019 competition and several nominations in international awards. Among other things, Tomáš Reindl/Omnion recently composed and plays live music for the successful music and dance performances of the 420 people ensemble - INspiraCe and HeART of Noise (Archa theater).
