We invite you to watch an online lecture about Czech entitled Phraseology in Czech dialects Mgr. Hany Goláňová, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Education of the University of Hradec Králové. 🇨🇿
🟩 TOPIC
In spoken Czech, we sometimes use fixed phrases and idioms automatically and spontaneously, because they are part of the naming process and correspond to the given situation, or sometimes intentionally to revive communication. But we mostly do not realize that phraseological units can also have a non-literary, colloquial, regional or even dialectal character. a dialect phrase that arose in the folk environment to name plants or animals. However, many of the dialect idioms or dialect phrases disappear from everyday communication with the departure of the oldest generation of speakers and with the changing naming needs of new generations.
