Ondřej Štveráček Quartet

Ondřej Štveráček Quartet will perform at the Jazz Dock.

A saxophonist quartet that is characterized by technique and improvisation. The music of this group could be described as post-Coltrane-bop. After two studio albums Calm and Sketches, Ondřej Štveráček decided to record the third CD together with American drummer Gene Jackson, double bassist Tomáš Baroš and pianist Klaudio Kováč. It was a live recording from a concert at the Jazz Dock, which was released under the name Ondřej Štveráček Quartet Live in Prague. The album consists mainly of Štveracák's original compositions, but there are also compositions by his bandmates and a jazz standard by John Coltrane.
