last year he had a world premiere at the Venice IFF document One to One: John & Yoko. The directors have focused on the key first 18 months of John Lennon and Yoko Ono in the US since their arrival in New York in August 1971. They lived in a small apartment in Greenwich Village and watched a number of American television channels from bed. The directors are trying to bring the audience closer to the time through what John and Yoko could see: War in Vietnam, President Nixon, advertisements for Coca-Cola, reporter Walter Cronkit from the Evening News CBS, or the beginning series The Walton. It was in this period that they also organized a benefit concert One to One, which was inspired by the TV report Gerald River on the living conditions of mentally handicapped children in the Willowbrook institution at Staten Island. The concert took place in Madison Square Garden 30th August 1972 and was the last that John and Yoko graduated together. There will be several songs in the film, and their son Sean Ono Lennon was supervised by their sound. The film contains a number of unseen materials, including home videos and numerous records of John and Yoko telephone conversations, offering a unique view of the crucial period of life of one of the most famous artistic couples.
