Such an exceptional designation has been given to Daniel Lopatin aka OneOhtrix point from many sides. He produced recordings for 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗮 𝗕𝘆𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗮, wrote for 𝗙𝗞𝗔 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝗴𝘀 or 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝗵𝗻𝗶, composed music for films good times and gem. But what distinguishes him from all others is his solo work, which brought him the reputation of one of the greatest musical pioneers of the present.

Minimalism through noise to collages. In his compositions, he combines old and new samples, synthesizers and acoustic instruments, snippets of archive television dialogues or nineties of ads, sometimes make a trip to pop, altrock, minimalism or noise music. His compositions are sometimes dark, but sometimes they can disarm you with a peaceful mood and atmosphere of contemporary pop. His latest album from 2023 called Again is again a typical sound amalgam ⚗️
He is inspired by post-rock, progressive rock and orchestral music, mixing electronics with strings. The result is full of individuality, playfulness and wit, but it is not a cold calculus at all. On the contrary - songs are overflowing with ideas, personal and emotional passion. As if they reflect the memories of what he heard in his youth - but in the middle -aged backward view. "The basic impulse for creation often comes from a certain sense of confusion that encloses memories of the music of my youth," he says. "I always come back to them as an endless, albeit false, source," he adds with exaggeration. Critics characterized his concerts as a complex and breathtaking experience for the senses. And that's exactly what the OneOhtrix Point Never promises at the Prague Sounds festival.

Highhly Individual and Encompassing and Dizzying Range of Influences and Styles - From Minimalism to Noise to Collage - The HAVE EARNED HIM AND REPUTATION AS ONE OF THE BRENDBREAKING ARTISTS OF HIS DAY. Synthesised, and acoustic instruments, archivedches of TV dialogue or 90s advertisements, nods to pop and alt-rock, forums into minimalism and noise. HIS MUSIC SOMETIMES CONJOURS DARKNESS AND DREAD, BUT IS JUST AS Likely to Disarm You with and Laid-Back Groove or and Modern Pop Feel. HIS Most Recent Album, 2023's Again IS and Typical Sonic Melting-Pot, Drawing on Post-Rock, Prog, and Orchestral Music and Blending Electronica with strings. THERE'S AND DISTINCTIVE, Playful Intelligence to It All, But It's By No Means Purely Cerebral: Lopatin's Work Feels Personal, Bursteing with Ideas Yet Full of Emotional Resonance. It's Plays Out As A Mediation on Lopatin's Youthful Experience of Music From the Perspective of Middle Age. 'The Origin of My Impulse to Create often Comes From Some Kind of Confusion I Have Around Memories of Music,' He Says. 'I Always go to the endless wellspring of my false memories.'
