About event
📣 Kino Úsmev announces an open call for an artist residency in Taiwan for the year 2026.
In cooperation with Soulangh Cultural Park, we bring you the opportunity to gain new inspirations, contacts and experiences at an artist residency in Southeast Asia.
About the residency:
The residency is primarily conceived as "research only" - without an output in the form of an exhibition or work during the residency. This type of residency gives the participant the freedom to focus either on their own reflection and future works, or a breather from ordinary life and new interpersonal connections.
Duration of residency: 4 to 6 weeks
Residency dates: May – August 2026
Residency includes: free accommodation in Soulangh Cultural Park in an air-conditioned room with private bathroom with WC.
The residence is intended for everyone across the Slovak cultural community; from curators to artists to filmmakers.
Performances of the residency:
Presentations of the completed residency to the public at the Smile Cinema
