The Open House Prague festival organizes the interactive trail "Open Generations: School of Life" linking children, parents and grandparents
We are students of Arts Management at the Faculty of Economics of Economics in Prague. As part of the lessons, we cooperate with the Open House Prague festival on the project called "Open Generations: School of Life". We partially follow up last year's successful cooperation with the festival, which was called "Open Senses".
Together with Open House Prague this year we offer a unique experience trail for families called "Open Generations: School of Life". The event will take place 17.5. until 18.5.2025 in Prague's Dejvice and the immediate vicinity and connect generations through sharing memories, stories and joint activities.
The main objective of the interactive trail is to strengthen family relationships and open up space for mutual sharing of experience. Participants of all age groups - children, parents and grandparents will go through well -known educational institutions, where they are awaiting fun and informative tasks aimed at remembering, creativity and getting to know architecture and history of places.
Visitors, children together with (PR) parents will set out on a journey along well -known and lesser -known educational institutions, including the state reform real grammar school - VOŠ pedagogical and social, SOŠ pedagogical and grammar school, Masaryk College CTU, Faculty of Civil Engineering in Prague, Bulgarian Elementary School Suchdole. Each habitat will offer a unique task, for example, solving architectural crossword puzzles, creative design of a student room or building a structure that must withstand natural elements. There will also be a memorial wall on the route, where visitors can record their school experiences. At the same time, the trail will provide conversational topics encouraging joint conversations and supporting intergenerational dialogue.
The teams of the participants will receive a special book in which they will collect stamps for their tasks at the locations. Those who successfully complete at least three tasks will receive a small reward and can participate in the draw for the main prize.
The project "Open Generations: School of Life" emphasizes the idea of lifelong learning and the importance of intergenerational dialogue. The accompanying program of the Open House Prague festival thus creates space for unforgettable family moments and joint exploring the history and architecture of the city.
