A guided walk through the technical basement of the National Library will take place as part of the accompanying program of the 12th annual Open House Prague festival.
When we hear the word Klementinum, most of us think of the famous Baroque Library, the Mirror Chapel or the picturesque historical grounds of the former Jesuit college. But what is hidden beneath these spaces?
Under the surface of the Klementin – today's seat of the National Library of the Czech Republic – there is an extensive system of corridors, technical equipment and logistical facilities that every day ensure the smooth operation of the largest library in the country and the provision of its services.
Come with us to places that normally remain hidden from visitors and discover the technical heart of one of the most important Baroque monuments in Bohemia. The guided walk will take place as part of the accompanying program of this year's Open House Prague festival.
