[ENGLISH TEXT BELOW] At the Open Screening at Sputnik, filmmakers can submit short films without pre-selection and without a jury (max. 25min), in the production of which they were somehow involved, will be presented in the cinema. A short Q&A after each film allows filmmakers and audiences to talk. From drama, comedy, music videos, reports, documentary, animation to experimental and much more, every genre is possible. The Open Screening sees itself as a platform for filmmakers and film fans - e.g. to “test” films in front of an audience for the first time, to receive feedback, to make films accessible to the public or to make contacts for future projects. Unwanted content can be stopped by the audience by showing a red card to the majority.
[ENGLISH] Open Screening means, Filmmakers can bring their short films (max. 25min) and present them to the audience – without pre-selection, without jury! From drama, thriller, comedy, music video, documentary, animation to experimental (and so on) any genre is possible. After each film a short Q&A will give the chance to filmmakers and audience to talk about what they've just seen. The Open Screening (founded in 1997) is a platform for filmmakers and film fans – for example to "test" a film in front of an audience for the very first time, to get a feedback, to get a chance to present work at all or to get contact to other filmmakers for future projects. Unwanted contents can be stopped by the audience when the majority shows a red card.
