In our pursuit of limitless accumulation of knowledge and infinite energy, we seem to be carrying the seeds of our own destruction - but what if extinction is not really the end? A Marriage of Flame and Flame evokes the almost mystical visions and forebodings present in scientific thinking and in the computational obsession with efficiency and control. András Cséfalvay draws on speculative (science) fiction and layered myth-making, along with mysterious traces of angelic magic, to stimulate debates about ecology and the need for alternative conceptions of extinction and evolution. Somewhere in the hazy future, a strangely different sun casts its long shadows – infinite energy born from the collapse of matter and antimatter.
