About event

The opening of the new Next exhibition It Smells of Sweat and Jasmine, with ten artists from Indonesia and the Netherlands.

Every year, CKB Zuidoost invites a young curator of color to put together an exhibition.

The exhibition is set up as a second -hand bookstell such as it on the streets in Indonesia to emphasize the power and essence that plays information in emancipating, liberating and making them visible of people without voice.

The participating artists are Fitri (Id) (Idan Trisnanti, BE, BEAT. (NL), Nabila Ernada (NL/ID), Ramal Karmarama (ID), Nynke Deinema (NL), Clementine Oomes (NL), Verka Kersting (NL) en Rizqita Naherta (NL/ID).
