About event
Orient
The Prague project Orient is a constantly changing entity that extends the edges of psychedelic genres. Tomáš Vondra (Tomáš Palucha) and Lukáš Polák started in pairs before a decade, in 2017 they won the Vinyl Award as a discovery of the year, and released the debut album in a year later. From the dark synth-pop, they move to Art rock on the Redwood (2022) album, but the emphasis on the psychedelic dimension of music remains. The Orient is currently playing in four, last year they released the single Black Ice and went tour in the Baltic countries.
Whyhwhy
The Brno five refers to Slowcore or Dream-Pop with its music and can rely on the vocal two-voice of Tandem Barbora Hora and Soňa Amran. Naturally, natural mythology and socio-political criticism of patriachal capitalism are mixed in the texts. In twelve months they made their debut singles, release the album Bruises and EP this is fine, isn´t it?. With their novel poetics, imaginative compositions and thoughtful arrangements, they appeared in nominations on vinyl and angel.
