About event
I would like to invite you to my next workshop, the content of which this time will be an overview and comparison of singing ornaments, "feelings", and stylistics of various genres and traditions, both in "Western", Euro-American music, in soul, blues, and in "Eastern", Middle Eastern , plus flamenco and North Indian, and European Southeast folklore. We will all try out the differences and techniques, describe what happens anatomically in our vocal apparatus. The content can be adapted to the composition of the participants.
For whom the course is intended: For singers of world music and various fusions (e.g. Balkan and jazz), for experimental singers, for singers of mantras and meditation music, for classical singers of early music who want to sing Eastern compositions, for singing teachers and voice coaches who are interested in other vocal palettes.
About me, teacher:
I am a singing teacher, music therapist. I compose songs based on Czech and foreign language poetry. Since childhood, I have experience with Western classical music, with Euro-American pop, electronica, folk genres, chanson, blues, rock and soul; later I started studying Eastern traditions, Indian dhrupad, Iranian and Turkish classical singing, Anatolian folk songs, Greek Orthodox songs and folk songs. I sang flamenco for several years. I am also interested in experimental singing in contemporary classical and microtonal music. Overall, I am fascinated by the voice in its various forms, and what processes take place in the body during its creation.
