Sinfonietta Orchestra of Lisbon (Maestro Vasco Pearce de Azevedo) and Paulo Soares
Opening Show
Carlos Paredes's music will be visited, being given to pure state. The absence of the rhythmic marking of the viola, as we were made known by the guitarist composer, is replaced by the huge sound palette of the classical orchestra, which even dare interpret walls without guitar. Arrangements will be heard for Portuguese guitar and orchestra by Francisco Tavares, Tiago Derriça and Luís Cardoso, and, as a counterpoint, solo and also with orchestra support, some works by other guitarists, such as father Artur Paredes at the beginning of the distinctive stylization of the instrument, by Francisco Filipe Martins, and from Paulo Soares, a solo guitarist for whom the walls of the walls have no secrets. The direction of the Sinfonietta Orchestra of Lisbon will be in charge of conductor Vasco Pearce de Azevedo.
Sinfonietta Orchestra of Lisbon has interpreted works created from the Baroque period to the 19th century. XX (having accompanied live and recorded with national and international artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Placido Sunday, Jose Carreras, Jorge Moyano, Adriano Jordão, Peter Devries, Pedro Jóia, Caetano Veloso, Jaques Morech, Mario Laginha, Bernardo Sassetti, António Zambujo, Rodrigo Leão, Carlos do Carmo, Mariza, Ruquel Tavares Runhosa) - directed by the renowned conductor Vasco Pearce de Azevedo.
Paulo Soares is one of the most versatile and generous guitarists of the usual guitar. He has been studying and investigating the instrument for over 40 years, seeking the excellence of sound and musical discourse. Therefore, he is possibly the deepest knowledge of Carlos Paredes's guitar. Its innovative synthesis of the techniques and intentions of the traditional guitars of Coimbra and Lisbon are the foundation for its enormous musical and guitaristic versatility, full of enthusiasm and depth. As a pedagogue and driving of the Portuguese guitar, Paulo Soares' work is undoubtedly the most important. He is the author and editor of the Portuguese Guitar Method, a reference work in the learning of the instrument. It has consistently taught, it has helped other teachers and has generously shared several transcripts of its own.
