Dear friends,
I cordially invite you to the celebration of the Winter Solstice on 20/12/2024 from 15:00 in the Prokop Valley under the Slovanské Hradiště - the ancient place of our ancestors - near Klukovice at the resting place by the fire.
Preparation will start already at 2 p.m.
Together we will celebrate the rebirth of the Sun and thank the sun to the old (which leaves and dies) for light and warmth throughout the year, for harvest and abundance in nature, which would not exist without the sun.
At this time, each of us evaluates the past year, how successful it was. What we have been, what we have done and how to be a better person that will be born in the new year. The winter solstice is one of the most beautiful and also the most mysterious holidays of the year. As winter comes, the sun wanes and grows old. Its beneficent glow is becoming more and more rare for all living things, the world is entering a period of darkness, mists and gloomy gloom.
It is a period of divination and evaluation of the past year. The time is also suitable for working with the shadow sides of the personality.
What awaits us:
- the celebration of the Rebirth of the Sun and the new in us
- the burning of everything old and unnecessary in the sacred fire
- beeswax divination, what awaits us in the new year
- singing and dancing and a feast
What to bring:
- suitable clothes
- music tools
- apples for divination
- a candle in a jar to carry light home from the sacred fire for Christmas
- your wishes and intentions for the coming year
This event is suitable for families with children
The ceremony will be led by:

The recommended contribution is 300 CZK
(contributions will be used to cover the costs of the celebration and you will also support our organizations in the further development and research of our traditions)
