In 1663 Ottomans, led by Great Ahmed Köprülüm, occupied Nové Zámky and for the next 22 years they made them the most naked bastion of their power in Hungary. How did they change the form of the city? What did life mean on a complete periphery of a huge empire? Who were his Ottoman inhabitants, when they came into contact with the home and what these interactions looked like? We will also find answers to these questions in a lecture by historian Mgr. Helena Gahérová, PhD.
