About event
Libraries, with the exception of specialist libraries, have been gradually becoming for many years not only places where we go to borrow books, but also new and important centers of social life in the place of their operation. And this is exactly the case for the newest MKP branch, which we will open on Monday, June 1, 2026, in the Černý Most multi-functional building in Prague 14.
More than 1,000 square meters on two floors will offer space for reading, studying, meeting, and a cultural and community program. The new library was created in an elegant building that transformed a previously neglected plot of land into a lively place for all generations.
And right from the start, there will also be an attractive program offer. Come see for yourself! 😊
The library will be ceremonially opened by the director of the Municipal Library in Prague Tomáš Řehák, the mayor of Prague 14 Jiří Zajac, councilor City of Prague for Culture and Tourism Tomáš Slabihoudek and other guests.
