Ottone Pesante is an instrumental, experimental trio consisting of trombone, trumpet and drums. Since their first releases, they have embellished their own original sound, which is as close to harder metal genres as it is to jazz. It is a mix of electronics, wind instruments and a recognizable percussive style with strong roots in grindcore. The result is a varied, rich and unique sound aimed at pushing the boundaries of many genres, making it popular with fans of brass bands and jazz, as well as in the experimental and avant-garde scene and even among metal and experimental rock enthusiasts. This led them to intensive live activity across Europe, including participation in important festivals such as Fekete Zaj HU (2021), Brutal Assault CZ (2022) and Inferno NOR (2023). They have released 4 studio albums, 2 EPs and one split album and have collaborated with notable artists such as Travis Ryan (Cattle Decapitation), Shane Embury (Napal Death), Sara Bianchin (Messa), Jet, Calibro 35 and Lili Refrain.
