About event
The program of the opening concert will be completed by two works with the subtitle symphony. Both with an irreplaceable vocal component, with the participation of choir and soloists, both with spiritual themes. In the Via lucis symphony, Ľuboš Bernáth was inspired by New Testament texts from the mystical Janovian tradition. Excerpts from the Gospel according to John and John's revelation are given in Latin. On the other hand, Lukáš Borzík sets the text in Slovak to music in the symphony Matka, in a series of twelve prayers to the Virgin Mary for twelve figures of silence, offering again a new perspective on the content of the term symphony.
The concert will feature:
Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonic Choir, Hilda Gulyás (soprano), Matúš Šimko (tenor), Ondrej Olos (conductor)
