We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition of current author July Haluzová / Where are last year's snows? in the curatorial concept of Zuzana Danková.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Wednesday 10 December at 18.00 at DOT. Contemporary, Jurkovičova tepláreň.

In the new series, July Haluzová turns to two "invisible" groups - old people and men, who have been stereotyped for years. The author takes them out of the noise of everyday life and places them in the space of a meadow or empty color, where their overlooked gestures, characteristics and quiet emotionality finally gain space and attention. Angry seniors inspired by Internet profiles with flowers and men stuck between expectations and their own vulnerability turn into poetic, gently ironic portraits. The series combines Haluzova's typical handwriting - the ability to capture a person in a moment that is humorous and beautiful at the same time.
The author thus offers a sensitive commentary on how in society we see old age, masculinity and ordinary people who disappear before our eyes every day.
