Nástupište 1-12, a space for contemporary culture invites the public to an exhibition of photographs by the renowned Slovak photographer Martin Marenčin, who captured the turning points of modern history with his lens. The exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to glimpse key moments, from the events of November 1989 to other important milestones that shaped the company and influenced its direction.
Martin Marenčin, who started as a sound engineer at Slovak Radio, became famous for his documentary approach to photography and sensitivity to human stories in the background of great historical changes. Although he focused on November 17, 1989, other important situations that marked Slovak society did not escape his lens. The exhibition presents a wide spectrum of his work - from mass gatherings to behind-the-scenes details and individual stories that reveal the intimate dimension of these events.

Martin Marenčin (*1956) studied at the Slovak Technical University and subsequently worked for ten years as a sound engineer at Slovak Radio. In the revolutionary year of 1989, when he worked in the Bratislava "pyramid" of the Czechoslovak Radio, he started documenting the November events as an amateur photographer.

Since 1992, he has been engaged in photography as a freelance profession. He won seven awards for his work at the Czech Press Photo, Fuji Euro Press Photo Awards and Slovak Press Photo competitions in 2001–2012. With the project Slowly Slovakia, he participated in nine exhibitions in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary (2005–2007), and his work became part of the international collective exhibition Slovakia through the lens of documentary photographers. He was also invited to the One Day of the Czech Republic project (2007).

Martin Marenčin is a long-time member of the Association of Slovak Professional Photographers, co-founder of the civic association Slovak Documentary Photography (2001) and the international agency CHOICE images (2006).< br/>
