About event
If innovation and technology are terms used (and abused) by many of us, on the other hand, they are words whose nature and impact on our lives often escape our understanding. Furthermore, they are terms generally accepted without any (or little) questioning.
The fourth issue of the magazine Outro Economia, Innovate or die? Innovation, technology and economy, aims precisely to contribute to denaturalizing these words and the processes associated with them.
Like the two previous reading circles, this is part of a series of activities that aim to boost the magazine , in order to allow for in-depth debate on the topics covered in it, improving its contents according to the perspectives of readers. Therefore, this session will be held based on one of the magazine's articles: The end of utopias? Innovation, technology and development: https://outraseconomias.pt/outrasec/o -end-of-utopias-innovation-technology-and-development/
The circle will be led by Amadu Djaló, doctoral candidate in African Studies at ISCTE-IUL, based on a question to open the conversation and debate that will be sent, together with the room link, to registered people until the day before the session.
When? Friday December 20th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Where? Online, on the Zoom platform
Registration runs until December 19th here: https://forms.gle/TWvZGgRd7eLNruh1A
