About event

“I have always enjoyed drawing! With paint, pens and brushes. For me, any other way to do it is a great sadness. The art of drawing has always been an unlimited territory that lay people intend to limit. Manuel Xavier, where there are about 90 works between drawings, prints, paints, paintings and a Chinese book. Held throughout his life, among thousands of other designs to which he gave movement in his moving image movies, which we call cartoons, or animated movies. Thinker, writer, animator and tireless designer, Lord of an unmistakable feature, every image of yours is also a movement, a poem, a Haiku. This unprecedented exhibition reveals the depth and at the same time the creative transversality of a single author who, unfortunately, had to emigrate at 18 to France because a certain old dictator did not like people to think and create.
