On Saturday, March 8, International Women's Day, Studio Krei & Via Rudolphi show a Work-in Progress in the Plein Theater of the video installation "About a woman"!
What does it mean to be a woman? If from Kleins has been rolled out in front of you to become a mother, where is there still room to walk your own route? Does a desire for children come from yourself or has this been imposed from the outside? How should your life go according to society and how do you want it to run? Studio Kni makes an ode to the woman looking for and shapes her role in her own way. She scans thinking frames about "being a woman". Searching for space behind and in addition to the dominant image about the woman in our heteronormative society.
Knitting and craftsmanship are not used in this project as an old -fashioned home -tiddle, Studio Kni makes a visual video installation in which textile structures create a new world together with digital objects. In this alternative world, the makers create room for new perspectives on the female image. A world in which searching, getting lost and inefficiency become tangible. A celebration of not knowing - an embrace of the failure of the "standard" time path.
