The webinar provides an overview of the status and processes of chemical risk assessment in the EU chemical legislation system from the point of view of waste and surface water protection.
Chemical risk assessment forms the cornerstone of the assessment and management of hazardous chemical substances within the EU chemical legislation.
In the conditions of industrial enterprises, production facilities and handling of chemical substances, mixtures and products, the card is the main communication base within the supply chain security data, or extended safety data sheet. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is binding documentation for risk communication and risk management at workplaces. The information contained in the SDS forms the basis for the assessment and management of risks in the conditions of production days, but also in the case of professional use, transport or handling of chemical substances, mixtures and products. The extended safety data sheet (eSDS) contains an exposure scenario for one or more substances contained in a dangerous chemical mixture, which provides more detailed information for determining the risk and subsequently determining the measures to control the risk in the workplace. Some substances used in production and emitted into waste and surface waters have established discharge limits.
