Prague, . May 2026 - Alternative rap duo P/\ST release their fifth album called FOTR. After last year's theatrically conceptual album ELEKTRA, he returns to the "song" form. This time he comes with a much more personal and light-hearted take on new fatherhood and aging. The album contains 14 tracks, in which the pair did not allow themselves to be bound by genres and balances from boombap, through drill, trap or folk to metal.
"I don't want to be a photographer, I want to be a dad. I want to be there for her when she gets windy. I want to be a rock, but also a friend. The one who allows her to do it when she says no mom."
As the title suggests, the main theme plates is paternity. The frame in which P/\ST puts a collage of their lives. Attitude, identity and at the same time an ironic mask, behind which the couple hides less than ever before. FOTR deals with themes that resonate across generations of thirty-somethings: newly acquired fatherhood as an existential earthquake, the end of youth, fatigue from the fast-paced world, money, social networks, but also the death of one's own father or workaholism.
"I'm showing off with my friends, who's the best, who's sitting, who's crawling — I want tummy time. Who's got what kind of therapy and who's gotten fatter. It's really not going down, I'm tired."
P/\ST has joined forces with the TYNIKDY label on its fifth record, and MC Gey, Idea, Rest, Mucha, No Face No Case, Zef, Jen Hovorka and DJ Maro are guests on it. The album was mixed and mastered by GAEX. The artwork of the album and two singles was created by the illustrator Jiří Franta.
JEDNO — As the first swallow, the band released the single JEDNO together with a music video at the beginning of May, directed by Nikolas Sand. The track is about them not caring. Everything now. NEKLID — The second released single NEKLID is the exact opposite. Collaboration with Idea, Rest and Zef is a probe into the head of a person struggling with workaholism and pressure to perform. Štěpán Svoboda shot a music video for the single.
