Step into the enchanting world of fungi and discover the hidden beauty of fungi. In this class, you’ll learn to capture their delicate forms and vibrant colors, bringing the magic of the forest to your canvas! Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out, this class will inspire you to see mushrooms in a whole new light: we will look at the history of art inspired by fungi to get inspired for our own paintings!❤️🍄
In this workshop, YOU will :
🍄 Learn about art inspired by mushrooms from old to modern times
🍄 Find out which mushroom you are!
🍄 Learn the steps of making a fungi artwork
🍄 Learn some useful techniques for painting with acrylics.
🍄 Get colour mixing tips
🍄 Meet fellow art lovers
OPEN TO EVERYONE:
The workshop is beginner-friendly, the only condition is to be open-minded to having fun, exploring, and learning something new!
Included in THE WORKSHOP:
👉 Materials: acrylic paints, brushes, and canvas boards will be available. At the end of the workshop, you will have your own painting 🎨
👉 Teaching (theory & practice) + references
👉 Tea and cookies 🍪

🕰️ Meeting point and time: 10:45 at Karlinske Namesti near the church entrance ( Kostel sv. Cyrila a Metoděje ). We will meet there and go to my home art studio which is 5 minutes away.
ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Irene Antonez is a Prague-based multimedia artist and art educator. She holds two master's degrees in Fine Art and Future Design from Prague City University.
Antonez creates surreal, psychedelic-looking art with a focus on plant world, fungi, and microorganisms.
Antonez's artworks are in private collections in the USA, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, and more. Antonez's work has been exhibited in numerous group & solo exhibitions, and art & music festivals.
As an artist, she's been celebrating mushrooms in various ways.
Throughout her artist career, she created artworks for many mushroom organisations like Welcome to Mushroom Hour, Fascinated by Fungi, Czech Mycological Society, Oakland Hyphae, Desert Alchemist and more.
Having all these experiences & expertise inspired Antonez to create a workshop that could spread fascination and respect for the world of fungi and help understand them deeper through art.
