Discover how to attract beneficial wildlife / Discover how to attract beneficial wildlife

Join East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District and Green Lenses to learn how attract beneficial fauna. We will share a brief overview of the concepts of “Naturescaping” and then share simple and creative ideas to turn your space into a place where birds, butterflies, insects and more will want to come.

We will start at Lents Elementary School for a tour of the pollinator garden. Next, we'll walk to the Green Lents Community Tool Library for a presentation on how to attract beneficial wildlife to your yard.

Workshop attendees will enjoy complimentary tacos and drinks, and receive native pollinator seeds. free.

Registration closes when tickets sell out or 2 hours before the start of the workshop.

Accessibility notes

  • Water: We recommend participants bring a reusable water bottle to reduce the use of single-use plastic. use.
  • Interaction level: Low. This workshop is presentation-based, where a presenter will share most of the information. Participants will be able to ask questions during the presentation. Participation is optional.
