About event
The author's production Memory of a Place maps the past, present and future stories of the building of the former Jesenský Elementary School right inside it.
An experience sometimes reminiscent of a visit to a museum is interspersed with performances with found objects and with fragments of memories of people who experienced the building as primary or art school, concert club or independent theater. The production thus oscillates between performance and installation.
It explores the mysterious triangle of man - space - memory. He observes how man and the environment are mutually transformed in an endless series of chain reactions. It deals with the subjectivity and selectivity of memory. He discovers her blind spots. It balances on the fine line between documentary and fiction.
