About event
Mgr. Jiří Tourek They will present how Brunelleschi, Alberti and Bramante have re -established the order of the order, and above all, as it was reflected in the Czech environment: on examples of early realizations of the column orders in the Prague Castle and several works from a later time. The lecture will therefore deal with five column orders of classical architecture. But not by the columns themselves, their form or meaning, but by the way they were used on various buildings.
Mgr. Jiří Tourek is professionally engaged in the philosophy and theory of architecture, especially modern and contemporary architecture and the architecture of classical traditions. He is currently a pedagogical employee of the Institute of theory and History of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of CTU, and at the same time he has a long -term work at the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University. He took advantage of his research activities, among other things, by his own publication to think of architecture: late thinking of Peter Eisenman and his critical theory of architecture of 2019. His most recent achievement is the translation of the book devoted to the classical language of architecture.
